My fiance surprised me two weeks ago by bringing me home a LUSH bath bomb, his choice being 'Sex Bomb'. I had been looking at 'Sex Bomb' when we went shopping together but decided to try out 'Space Girl' instead. He obviously took note of the products I was interested in seeing as he came home with this for me! Being a mother to a three month old it can be hard to get the chance to take the time to have a nice relaxing bath and get some 'me' time, hence why it took me so long to actually get around to using this but last night I decided that I had waited too long already so locked myself away in the bathroom for a pampering session!
What first enticed me to want to try 'Sex Bomb' was the gorgeously feminine appearance of it. I love the mix of pink and purple, it looks so pretty and girly. On the top of the bath bomb is a beautifully little rose which, to me, gives that little extra touch of luxury and makes the 'Sex Bomb' really stand out amongst the other bath bombs LUSH has to offer. I also find this touch to be romantic, fitting as it was my fiance who bought it for me. When added to the water the bomb starts to fizz instantly and swirls around the bath making the water turn to a lovely bright pink colour. The rose breaks away from the rest of the bomb and floats on the water for a time before dissolving a bit, but not completely, leaving a soggy residue. 'Sex Bomb' has a lovely sweet floral scent which fills up the whole bathroom and leaves it smelling beautiful for ages afterwards, in fact my bathroom still smells like this this morning. 'Sex Bomb' leaves skin feeling wonderfully soft and makes for a great, relaxing bath time. Please forgive the quality of these pictures, I'm not the type of person who could take a bath during the day so these were taking in artifical light.
The only thing I don't like about LUSH bath bombs is the lack of bubbles, I'm someone who lives for lather, the more bubbles the better. Yes, the water changes to a lovely colour but to me it just looks like the 'end' of a bath rather than the beginning and that someone has already enjoyed the lovely bubbly water and just left a brightly coloured water for me to get into. Other than that I did really love 'Sex Bomb' and will probably repurchase in the future after trying out some other bath bombs from the LUSH selection.
Stay pretty people!
This is one of my favourite Lush Bath Bombs...they do tell you that you won't get any bubbles, though you can cheat and add a drop of bubble bath to create a few... xx

Oh I know that but I didn't want to add anything to it because then the review wouldn't have been of just the product, otherwise the Johnson's Baby Bedtime Bath would have been filling up the tub! Haha :) xo
DeleteThis looks beautiful I love bath bombs from Lush!
ReplyDeleteI love Lush. This bath bomb does smell amazing, but I do understand what you mean with the bubbles. I like bubbles myself so sometimes I tend to make a bubble bath first and then throw in the bath bomb. A bit stupid of me but I like all the lather, but I still want the smell and feel of the bath bomb. x
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the lack of bubbles as the smell of these things are amazing!xx
ReplyDeleteNever tried the bath bombs before. The look LUSH!!xx
