My Top 5 Dream Family Holiday Destinations ♥

*This is a collaborative post.
Travel is something I love and giving my children the gift of travel and experiencing the world around them is something I've been doing since they were newborns.

Whether it be going on a family day trip to a part of our country we've never been before or jetting off to sunnier climates, we're a family of explorers who just love to discover somewhere new.

I'm sharing my top five dream family holiday destinations, in the hopes that someday soon we'll be able to tick everything off our list - now that would be amazing!

1. Turks and Caicos Islands
Visiting the Caribbean has been on my bucket list for the longest time and the Turks of Caicos Islands is one of the most beautiful places in the region. With it's white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, the Turks and Caicos Islands are not only beautiful, but a great place for families to holiday at too.

The Turks and Caicos home rentals are nothing short of spectacular and being able to stay in one of those beautiful places right on the beach would amazing, allowing us as a family of beach lovers to spend as much time as we possibly could on those dreamy white sands. There are so many things for families to do in Turks and Caicos, but snorkeling, going on a Blue Whale tour and seeing the flamingos would be top of my list. This destination is definitely somewhere we'd have our 'familymoon' if we ever do get married.

2. Lapland
I think this is probably a destination high up in the list of families with small children but visiting Lapland with my boys would be an absolute dream come true. We've also not holidayed in somewhere colder before and my boys have never really seen snow, so I think this would be a whole new world to them.

As there are flights from Ireland to Lapland, I think it would be an absolute shame if we didn't board one one Christmas and fly to see Santa himself. We may even get the chance to see the aurora borealis and that would be another lifelong wish ticked off my list! It would be truly magical and you can't ask for more from a family holiday than that.

3. South Africa
This is a destination we simply have to visit as a family, considering that Jacek is from there and his family live their of course. Tyler already talks a lot about going on holiday to visit is Babcia and Dziadek in South Africa and hopefully one day soon he'll get to do that.

Although Jacek is from Johannesburg, I don't think I'd be able to visit South Africa without seeing the beautiful coast in Cape Town and the amazing table mountain.

4. New Zealand
Even before I had children, New Zealand was a destination I always wanted to visit. I've even contemplated emigrating there someday.

With it's beautiful landscape, New Zealand is Heaven on Earth for a nature loving family like us and being able to share the experience of seeing beautiful wildlife, starry night skies (the type you can only see in the southern hemisphere), dazzling beaches and stunning landscapes with my boys would be absolutely amazing.

5. Walt Disney World Resort, Florida
When I was a child, the only destination I ever wanted to go to was Disney, sadly my dream never came true. So, being able to take my children there one day and share the magic with them would be a great thing for us all!

I think we'd all have an absolute ball on the attractions and being able to soak up that Floridan sun and American hospitality would be fab too.

  1. I would love to go on at least 2 holidays a year but my other half is not too keen on it. One is the money but hopefully one day he will get the travel bug.
I would love to take the kids to Disneyland Paris first. We are probably going to explore the UK this Easter again, same as last year.
Abroad wise I'd love to go to Hawaii, Italy, Florida, etc So many places to see.

  2. I have been to three of these places and the other two are on my list, but it was pre-kids and I would love to go back as a family
