Life With Two Boys ♥

It's been eleven days since our precious Beau arrived into the world and a whole week since we brought him home from hospital. It honestly feels like he was always with us, he's settled into our home so well and already has such a brilliant routine (which I feel apprehensive about writing about in case I jinx it - I'm touching all the wood!), he really is a blessing and has been so good to us - I think he knows that his mummy and daddy need their sleep!

As you may have read on the blog during my pregnancy, I was so worried about Tyler Lee and how he would adjust to life with a new baby in the house, sadly my fears came true and he has had some very upset moments, telling me that he's not my friend anymore, he keeps asking for 'mummy, daddy and Tyler' days and has been acting up quite a bit trying to get mine and Jacek's attention. We've had to take his beloved washing machine toy off him on more than one occasion to try and teach him that he can't be naughty and thankfully this seems to be working.

I don't think I was properly prepared for the tantrums, but I can definitely sympathise with how he feels, having his mummy to himself every day for over three years to suddenly having to share, it's a big adjustment for him but Jacek and I are trying our best to make sure that he still gets lots of attention, feels loved and is happy. We even got him a new washing machine toy (I swear we're giving Dot Cotton a run for her money with our own mini launderette!) from Beau and he was absolutely delighted, I think this really helped him to warm to the baby. He now asks to hold Beau, says good morning and good night to him, wants to interact with him more and more and I even caught him sitting by Beau's cot saying "what a lovely baby", it was so sweet to witness.

Jacek went back to work two days ago and thankfully my first days with the boys have gone well - life with two boys is definitely busy but so lovely too. As I said, we have a great routine going on at the moment, Beau is only waking up once at night for about an hour and is then sleeping until seven, the time that Tyler gets up too. I change them (Tyler still has no interest in potty training, I'm really hoping this changes soon) and bring them downstairs, putting Tyler in his Stokke Steps chair to have his breakfast while I feed Beau. We then all get washed and dressed - funnily enough I've had a chance to do a full face of makeup everyday, even this morning on a school run day, I'm amazed as I thought I'd be looking like a wreck. The only thing I'm having trouble with is keeping Tyler entertained during the day, he's not a child who likes to be by himself so he gets bored easily and wants me to play with him, which can be hard when the baby is feeding, but we'll get there. Bedtime is our busiest time of the day, I give Tyler his dinner while I feed Beau and then a shower or bath before bed. We're trying to keep his bedtime at half seven but he's been wanting to stay up later now the evenings are brighter, he keeps telling me it's morning!

We've been out every day since we brought Beau home too. It's been so lovely getting out and about with them both, I felt so cooped up during my pregnancy that getting out in the fresh air again has been great. I took them both to the playground on my own yesterday and it was my first time driving them both in the car too - I was actually quite anxious about having them both in the back, my precious cargo and all that. We're trying to enjoy the sunshine as much as we can and I'm trying to take Tyler to places he enjoys so that he's happy and knows that we can still do fun things even though the baby is here now.

Life with our two boys is going so well and I'm so happy with them both, even through the trying moments when the older one wants to act up and the little one waits until the very moment I'm changing his nappy so that he can pee all over me! I'm so looking forward to seeing their relationship grow and seeing them interact with each other more and more. I'd love for them to be super close and I'm so happy I have two boys, it's lovely having brothers to see grow up together. These boys are my world and I'm loving these beautiful summer days with them...

Our First Week As A Family Of Four ♥

As you may have read or seen on social media, our beautiful baby boy Beau Samuel James arrived into the world last Thursday and our lives as a family of four began. It's been a crazy, amazing week and a rather busy one - as you can imagine, life with a very active three year old and a newborn baby means that the days are all just melting into one, Jacek and I have barely had a chance to eat or have a drink! It's all worth it though and we're so lucky to be blessed with two beautiful and healthy boys.

Beau and I were discharged from hospital on Sunday and I was beyond anxious to get home. I missed Tyler Lee so much and it was breaking my heart hearing him on the phone saying "I miss you mummy", him and I have spent everyday together for three years so being apart was a big adjustment for us both. I was so emotional and teary in hospital, especially as Beau was getting blood tests done due to his jandice, my poor baby has had blood taken from him eight times now and he's only a week old tonight.

Tyler Lee is still a bit cautious about his new brother. He does interact with the baby, he says good morning and good night, he's asked to hold him and says he loves him but he has been upset about him being here and has been acting up a bit. One minute he's so affectionate and the next minute he can be crying or trying to hit for no reason at all. I think it's all for attention as he feels a bit threatened by the baby's presence or that he may be forgotten about. Jacek and I have been trying to reassure him that everything is okay and have been spending as much time with him as possible but it's going to take awhile for him to come around to having Beau here I think.

Amazingly, Jacek and I have been able to take the boys out everyday. It does take awhile to leave the house through feeds, nappy changes, clothing changes, packing bags, etc. but we have gotten out and that's an achievement in itself for us! It's lovely being out and about in the sunshine with our boys and I think getting out together is helping Tyler Lee adjust to life with the baby as he's seeing that he can still do things and go places with mummy and daddy.

Beau has been sleeping really well too. His main feeding times are from 7.30 in the morning, where he could have two bottles in close succession to each other and the same from 7.30 in the night, but he then sleeps from 9.30/10 until 2.30/3, stays awake until around 4 and is then asleep until 7 when Tyler Lee comes into our room to say good morning. We've been blessed and we're so grateful as I'm not sure we could function without our sleep!

I'm not going to lie, our washing machine has been going non-stop, the house has been in absolute chaos at times and Jacek and I have been absolutely starving at times from not having time to eat through looking after the boys, but it's actually been more manageable than I thought it would be! I'm actually surprised that we've had playground trips, walks, photo sessions (even though Tyler Lee won't let us take a picture of him at the moment) and everything in between. I thought we'd be living like hermits for at least another week or two but we're doing well.

So that's been our first week as a family of four and it's been a lovely one. I just hope I can keep the routine up when Jacek returns to work at the weekend. We're loving life as a foursome and we know it'll just get even better once Tyler Lee gets used to Beau more and is back to his happy chappy self. Any tips on how to reassure a toddler and help them to be more accepting towards a new sibling would be greatly appreciated.

Snippets Of Tilly's Life | With Petplan ♥

You may have seen our dog Tilly featured on the blog before, first introduced as a little puppy and then featured in pictures with Tyler Lee, who absolutely loves her, he's such an animal lover and it's so lovely to see him interact with her. Recently, the lovely people at Petplan got in touch with me and asked if I'd like to create a 'day in the life' style video of Tilly, to see what she gets up to on a daily basis and to view the world through her eyes. I thought this was such a fun project to take part in so I of course said yes and viewing the world through Tilly's point of view was definitely interesting and so great to capture on camera.

Take a look at the video below to see the world through Tilly's eyes, see some of her thoughts and capture a glimpse of some snippets of her life, all through her own personal point of view.

Petplan offer great value dog insurance, which is an essential for anyone who has a pooch that they want to protect. Vet bills can be so expensive so having pet insurance is a must these days, especially if you have an active, curious and playful dog like our Tilly!

*This post and video was made possible thanks to Petplan, however, as always, all thoughts and opinions expressed are 100% my own.

Beau Samuel James ♥

On May 19th at 7.05pm mine and Jacek's second precious son Beau Samuel James arrived into this world and our lives and family were made complete. Our hearts are so full of love right now for this beautiful baby boy and we are so unbelievably happy to be blessed with him in our lives.

Beau is an absolute dream, he is such a placid, content and peaceful little baby who likes nothing more than lying on my chest enjoying warm and loving snuggles. I seriously can't get enough of him, he's amazing. I'm absolutely loving these precious moments with him and am cherishing them as much as I possibly can. He is such a hungry boy and considering he weighs 9lbs 7oz it's not hard to see why! He is also 54 and a half centimeters long so he's also a tall boy.

I can't believe how much he looks like Tyler Lee, they really are a mirror image of each other at the baby stage, except for the fact that Beau's hair is a lot lighter - Tyler Lee's was very dark brown at birth, whereas Beau's is dirty blonde and oh so shiny, it's beautiful. He also has beautiful blue eyes and I suspect that they'll be the same dark blue colour of his brothers - we're a family of blue eyed people.

Beau was named by his big brother, who had been affectionately calling my bump 'Baby Beau' ever since we suggested a list of names to him, from that moment we knew that if we had a boy his name would be Beau and I think it suits his handsome self so well.

Beau is suffering with jaundice and we had an emotional few days in hospital where he was placed on a biliblanket for twelve hours to receive phototherapy treatment. We have to return to the hospital today to have his bilirubin levels rechecked and I'm hoping and praying that they'll have gone down even further. It's heartbreaking to see your poor little baby having to get blood taken - he's had blood taken from him about eight times since he was born and considering he's only four days old it's so hard to watch, even if I know it's for the greater good.

We are so unbelievably happy to finally have our beautiful little boy with us. Forty-one weeks of pregnancy was definitely a very long wait, but surprisingly he came very quickly in the end - just over an hour after we arrived at hospital, meaning no pain relief for me! Seeing him for the first time was such an emotional and joyous moment, I remember asking Jacek - "Is it a boy?" and was so delighted when he said yes. Those first few moments were so amazing and I'll never forget them.

We are now trying to settle into life as a family of four and Jacek and I are absolutely besotted with having two beautiful boys. Our days are now very busy, loud, chaotic, tiring and short, but oh my goodness are they wonderful!

Welcome to the world Beau, our precious little angel man. We love you oh so much ♥

Party Planning | A 90's Themed Birthday Party ♥

I've never actually had a birthday party, apart from my childhood ones, I simply celebrated my 18th and 21st with dinner with family and friends and a night out clubbing, but for my 30th I'd love to have a themed party.

I have two themes in mind, one is the 90's, as I was born in 1990 and have fond memories of growing up during the decade, I also love the music and aren't ashamed to admit it! The other is Alice in Wonderland themed, but as I'd have this as the theme of my wedding, which I shared in this post, I thought I'd share my plans for a 90's themed party - I have four years to prepare for it so hopefully I'd be able to perfect everything I share in this post. Hopefully this post may serve as inspiration for any other 90's babies who'd love to throw a 90's themed party too.

The Venue - Choosing a venue for your party is never an easy task, but sites such as Venuefinder can help you find perfect place to host your event. I was able to pop my party criteria into their search engine and a list of suitable and beautiful venues in my area popped up for me to choose from. I think using a resource like this is fab as planning a party can be a stressful enough task, so having a list of appropriate venues to browse through all on one website is great. It's important to make sure that your venue can hold all your guests comfortably, that it has that certain atmosphere you're looking for and of course, finding a venue at a great price is always a major plus too!

Dress code - No 90's themed party would be complete without 90's clothing, we're talking printed matching tracksuits, grunge looks, platforms (oh how I badly wanted some platforms to be like the Spice Girls!), knee high socks and skirts a la Clueless, hats, scrunchies, dungarees, loud prints etc. Another fun idea would be for guests to dress up as icons from the 90's, whether it be from music, film or TV (I imagine there would be a lot of Fresh Prince's in attendance!). I think all the naff and slightly 'out there' clothing would make for some fab pictures!

Music - For me the 90's is about two music types, the 90's dance tunes, which I still love listening to even now - No Limit, Mr. Vain, Rhythm is a Dancer (seriously, who can resist dancing to all of these?!) and grunge - Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden etc. (these are always playing in our house too thanks to Jacek being a grunge fan too). I love the music of the 90's and it'd be so easy to create a YouTube playlist to play throughout the night. We'll have to get the glow-sticks out and throw some shapes!

Decor - This is probably the most fun part of planning a 90's themed party. I think it'd be fun to have video tapes, cassette tapes, have those fortune teller folded paper things that we used to make as kids at school on tables for people to play with, have a guest book with gel pens for people to leave comments and messages, etc. I also love the idea of a splatter paint photo booth, details of which can be found here, it looks very 90's to me and would make for some fun photo opportunities. I also thought the idea of spray painting an old boombox, was a fun idea too. I'm sure we still have our old one down in the cellar.

Food & Drink - I was a child in the 90's so food and drinks were always fun, colourful and most definitely not healthy! I'd love to have my childhood favourites such as Roy of the Rovers bars, pixie sticks, Nerds, sugared jelly dummies, etc. in jars for people to pick and choose from. All I ever remember ordering in a restaurant as a child was chicken nuggets and chips (so classy I know!) so an adult take on this would be great, maybe goujons and hand-cut chips with some dips and sauces. I also stumbled across these cereal topped donuts which have the fun kid element of my 90's experience as well as being super colourful and yummy too. I've also come across some fun and colourful cocktails, made with some of my favourite childhood drinks, such as Capri-Sun as an ingredient. My favourite childhood drinks now with alcohol, yes please! All my friends and I were kids in the 90's, meaning we didn't do the washing-up or have the luxury of a dishwasher so disposable catering supplies would be a must for the party - the less cleaning up the better!

So there you have it, the ideas for my 'class', 'totally rad' (or whatever slang you used back in the 90's!) 90's themed birthday party. I think the theme is really fun and one that everyone, young and old, would enjoy.

Frugi Sun Safe Rash Vest & Board Shorts | #FrugiFamily ♥

It's May - how this has cropped up on so quickly I don't know, but it means that Tyler Lee and I get to, once more, show you some gorgeous offerings from Frugi as part of our #FrugiFamily role. This is our second assignment as part of the #FrugiFamily and we're delighted that it's all about swimwear because the beach is our favourite place to be.

Just in case you're not already aware of the brand, Frugi is a very popular clothing brand amongst parents and their little ones alike. Parents love the good quality, long-lasting and super soft feeling of Frugi's gorgeous clothing, while little ones fall in love with the bright, joyous colours and fun prints which have become a staple of the Frugi brand. Frugi's clothes, in my opinion, embody the spirit of childhood and I love seeing Tyler Lee sport their fun and colourful clothing.

As part of our #FrugiFamily role we were asked to choose a swimwear look from the Frugi range. I was delighted by this as we hadn't yet bought Tyler Lee any swimming togs this year - the Irish weather wasn't looking too promising for beach days but thankfully it's improved a lot this week so we were able to venture to a lovely beach down in East Cork.

The first item I choose for Tyler Lee was the Sun Safe Rash Vest (£16). It's so important to keep little ones skin safe from the sun so this vest, with it's Oeko-Tex and UPF 50+ is perfect for doing so. I like that it's long-sleeved for extra protection from the sun and the striped arms and fun Frugi print on the front make it something that children will be happy to wear.

The second item I choose for Tyler Lee was the Board Shorts (£19). I immediately was drawn to the bright blue colour of these and the fun shark print (Tyler Lee already has some shark print items, reviewed here, so I knew he'd love these shorts too). These board shorts are made from 100% recycled polyester and have a mesh lining on the inside. These also have a UPF50+ rating so they go perfectly with the Sun Safe Rash Vest for all-round protection from the sun. I got these in a size 3-4 for Tyler Lee and he had plenty of room in them, in fact, he could have probably done with the 2-3 as he has such a small waist.

The Sun Safe Rash Vest and Board Shorts went really well together and I thought my boy looked bright and comfy sporting them on the beach. It was great to know that he was protected from the sun and comfy in his swimming togs too. He wasn't pulling at the shorts or the vest which was great as he usually wants to take his clothes off as soon as they get wet.

Once again, a big thank you to Frugi for asking us to be part of the #FrugiFamily. It's a role we're really enjoying and we love featuring their colourful creations here on the blog.

If you're looking for even more Frugi loveliness then why not stop by Michelle's blog What Mummy Thinks to see what she chose for her little one as part of the #FrugiFamily too.

SwaddleDesigns | Single Muslin Swaddles Review & Giveaway ♥

I have to admit, when I was pregnant with Tyler Lee I wasn't aware of swaddling at all, I had never heard the term before and it wasn't something I did with him when he was a baby either. Nowadays, swaddling is all the rage and I'm forever seeing adorable pictures of little newborns on Instagram, all swaddled up snugly in their beautifully designed muslin blankets. Swaddling is something I will be doing with our new baby (who should be here by now but I'm overdue!) and thankfully I've been able to try out some stunning single muslin swaddle blankets from SwaddleDesigns, an American brand who are known for their great quality, long lasting value and their adorable designs too.

SwaddleDesigns are known for their premium quality fabric, fabulous colours and prints and their innovative 123 Swaddle pictorial instructional label sewn to the edge of their swaddling blankets, which makes learning how to swaddle correctly so easy for new parents or complete novices like myself! SwaddleDesigns also offer information on their website about how to swaddle a baby correctly, including this useful learn how to swaddle guide.

The muslin swaddles are made from high quality cotton and get softer with every wash - I love when baby and toddler products do this. I love that SwaddleDesigns offer single muslins, this makes it easy to pick and mix your favourite prints and create your own collection of swaddles.

I was also super impressed with the packaging of the single muslin swaddles - the grey and silver packaging looks gorgeous and I think they'd make a lovely gift for a baby shower or for a new parent.

I was able to choose two single muslin swaddles from the beautiful SwaddleDesigns range and the prints I chose were the Blue Forest and Sterling Starshine - both priced at $15 each.

I was immediately drawn to the brightness of the Blue Forest print and I loved the design with the trees, stars, Scotty dogs and bunnies. This print is also available in pink or mint green but I thought the blue was really pretty.

The Sterling Starsign is a classic looking print with grey stars and as someone who loves the colour grey and star print anything I knew this would be a favourite of mine. I love the fact that this design is gender neutral too, perfect if baby is a boy or a girl.

The lovely people at SwaddleDesigns have very kindly offered one of my lucky readers the chance to win a single muslin swaddles in a design of their choice - this is a prize worth $15. This giveaway is open to all my readers and shall end on May 28th. To be in with a chance of winning simply fill out the Rafflecopter below. Best of luck to all who enter.

Waiting... ♥

It's the day after my due date with baby number two... I am now officially waiting, overdue and waiting. I'm sitting here catching up with some blog work whilst Tyler Lee is at preschool and it's suddenly hit me that these quiet mornings of mine, where I get to catch up on things and have a bit of 'me time' will soon be a thing of the past... for the next two to three years at least. I feel as though I've been waiting for this baby for the longest time. I found out that I was pregnant on September 4th 2015 and it is now May 11th 2016... it seems incredible that I've known about this little baby for so long now, yet it still hasn't fully dawned on me that I'm going to have another child in my arms in a few days - I don't think the reality will really hit me until he or she is actually here.

I'm anxiously awaiting the onset of labour, every cramp or ache makes me feel as though it could be the beginning of something but nothing is progressing... I'd lie if I said I wasn't getting a bit fed up, I just want to meet my baby now and start the next chapter of our lives. Right now I feel like I'm a little bit in limbo and that I can't move forward with anything until baby is here with me. My parents keep ringing me asking me if "anything is happening?", sadly I have to keep saying no. I'm convinced that I'm going to be waiting it out until my hospital appointment next Wednesday where they'll induce me, baby is still kicking away so high up it seems impossible that he or she will move down on their own.

I feel as though I should be enjoying these last few quiet days, before the chaos and loveliness that a newborn baby brings descends on our lives... but I'm willing for this pregnancy to end now. I've said it before and I'll say it again - pregnancy does not agree with me, it's as if my body isn't made for it and I don't even know if I ever want to experience it again. I always wanted three children but the thought of another pregnancy is a big turn off - Jacek says he'll be reminding me of all my complaining in a few years when I say that I'd love another little babe!

I feel as though I should be doing more, that I should be a lot more prepared than I am. Mine and the baby's hospital bags are almost packed - I keep telling myself that if we need anything else the shopping center is just across the road from the hospital and I can send Jacek over for anything we've forgotten... very relaxed approach to our baby's arrival I know! I'm still terrified of labour - 31 hours of pain with my baby in the wrong position last time hasn't left me feeling prepared this time around, hopefully things will be quicker and smoother this time. I want to be in hospital for a minimal amount of time too but I keep worrying about needing a blood transfusion again due to a suspected blood disorder I may have - the unexplained bruises I keep getting aren't filling me with positivity that I'll escape from needing another transfusion, but I'll live in hope.

I just want to know what my baby looks like now, I'm constantly wondering if they'll look like Tyler Lee. I've had dreams about a baby with very long, blonde eyelashes and light complexion, I wonder if I'm right? A boys name is picked, chosen by Tyler Lee and we can't bring ourselves to change it now, it seems perfect to us, if baby is a girl she won't have a name ready, I have some beautiful names floating around my mind but we'll find the perfect one soon enough I'm sure.

We all want to meet you baby, everything is ready and waiting for you now. Please grace us with your presence soon, we can't wait to begin the next adventure in our lives with you in our arms. As a family we'll be so complete...  ♥

39 Week Pregnancy Update | Baby #2 ♥

Today is my due date! I can't believe that I've made it to forty weeks and there's still no sign of baby's arrival. I really was under the naive impression that this baby would come early - I have no idea why I thought that either, it really was all wishful thinking on my part! Hopefully this will be my last pregnancy update and I can soon introduce our precious new babe to you all.

My 39th week of pregnancy has gone by in a flash once again. I keep getting cramps that disappear after a few hours. It's really frustrating as I keep thinking that something is going to happen but nothing ever progresses - this baby really wants to keep us waiting!

During the week I've also felt extremely nauseous and have been close to throwing up, I have no idea why but I'm putting it down to everything just coming to an end and my hormones being in overdrive. I've also been feeling quite irritated this week and lots have things have begun to annoy me, although I'm trying to keep calm and serene - I don't want to be one of those angry pregnant women! I'm just so ready for this journey to be over now and to start the next chapter of my life with another little one in tow.

Having said that, it still hasn't really hit me that I'm going to have a new baby soon and I don't think it'll all become a reality until he or she is actually placed in my arms. I've been trying lots of different things to bring on labour naturally but nothing is working, although I can't say I'm not enjoying all the warm, bubbly baths! We're all just so excited to meet the new baby now and I can't wait to introduce Tyler Lee to his baby sibling. I just hope baby doesn't keep us waiting too much longer, forty weeks already seems like a lifetime...

This week...

Baby is the size of a - pumpkin, according to my Ovia pregnancy app.

I'm looking forward to - meeting our baby and seeing what he or she looks like, please don't let the wait be much longer!

My favourite moment was - having some quality time with my boy out in the garden on a very rare sunny, Irish day.

I've been feeling - irritated, crampy and just ready for pregnancy to end.

I've been buying for baby - nothing has been bought this week. I haven't even ventured outside very much for fear of my waters breaking or passing out in public!

I'm missing - not being pregnant, it seems so long since my body was just my own and ache free!

I'm craving - nothing but ice-cream, notably Magnum's almond variety is really helping to soothe my silent reflux.

I'm loving - how cuddly and attentive Tyler Lee is being towards me, I swear he knows that something big is going to happen in our lives very soon.

I've been meaning to - get as much as I possibly can organised before baby's arrival, although I don't think I'll be one of those women who has meals frozen down in batches before baby arrives - I wish I was one of those women though!

I can't wait for - the moment we get to meet our baby for the first time, it'll be so worth waiting for.

Our Dream Wedding | Alice In Wonderland Themed ♥

Signs // Food // Table Setting // Dress // Teacup Cupcakes // Wedding Ring
All found via Pinterest

Did you know that I'm actually engaged? No? Don't worry, I forget this little fact too, seeing as Jacek and I very rarely speak about our wedding plans, in fact, at one stage I even thought about calling off the engagement altogether and just carrying on as we are, I mean, do we really need to give ourselves the added expense of organising and paying for a wedding just so we can be recognised as a couple by law? We already joke that we're each other's 'spiritual' husband and wife. Recently though I've had a rethink and the legality of it all doesn't even come into it for me, I'd purely like to get married to seal and show my commitment, not only to Jacek, but to our family unit too, after all, it sometimes feels like it's just him, Tyler Lee and I against the world. Plus, I can't say that these beautiful Vashi wedding rings aren't swaying my opinion either, I'd be absolutely delighted and proud to wear one on my finger forever to symbolise our love and commitment to each other. I love the fact that Vashi's wedding rings are handmade and are bespoke, so that you and your other half can design the perfect rings tailored to your own style preferences, it allows you both to design something truly special and unique to you both. I love the style of the Vashi engagement ring pictured above, it has such a regal feel to it I think and I love the shape of the band adorned with diamonds, it's beautiful.

We actually chose our wedding theme straight away when we got engaged way back in 2012 and the theme is Alice in Wonderland. I'm a big fan of Alice of Wonderland and I think the theme just opens the way for a whimsical and wonderful wedding day. From the moment we got engaged I began pinning wedding inspirations onto a board on Pinterest, saving all my favourite Alice in Wonderland ideas that I want to incorporate and feature on our big intimate day. Some people may think the theme is a bit wacky instead of wonderful but that really doesn't bother me, it's our day and we both love theme, also, we only plan on doing this once so why not have fun with it?

I think the theme allows me to incorporate shabby chic and pastel details - both of which I'm a lover of. There's also a lot of decorations which we'd be able to make ourselves and I love the idea of a few DIY inspired projects for our wedding, after all, we want to spend as little as possible whilst still having the perfect day and decor for us.

The dress above is absolutely beautiful isn't it? It really does have that Alice in Wonderland vibe without being too 'out there'. It actually reminds me a bit of the Chi Chi London Elsa Dress which I featured here.

I love the table setting in the above picture, it's so beautiful and has that romantic vibe which I think a wedding definitely needs. The lights hanging above the table are stunning and would make for a great atmosphere.

I love the cupcakes in teacups - something I do myself with my own baking but having the cupcakes in pretty, shabby chic inspired teacups would just be darling! Because the theme is Alice in Wonderland we can be very outlandish when it comes to displays and favours for the guests - something which I'm so glad of because I don't like anything boring. I love the idea of an old-fashioned candy cart, stocked with wedding favour sweets - especially my favourite's, Sherbet Lemons! I've found sweet little 'eat me' and 'drink me' labels on Ebay and I think they'd be perfect for wrapping around the sweet jars or favor bags.

For the decor, I'd love to have pocket watches, playing cards, teacups and books hanging from the trees as well as LED floral lights for when it gets dark, that would be such a pretty touch I think. The signs are similar to the ones we saw at the Alice in Wonderland themed Easter egg hunt but I really like the blue and pink colour of the ones above.

Hopefully we'll be able to get married one day and during the summer too as we'd like the ceremony and reception outside if possible. As you can probably tell from my blog I love nature and taking pictures outdoors surrounded by beautiful natural backdrops so I'd like our wedding photos to be filled with all of these beautiful touches too.

Are you planning your wedding at the moment? Do you have a theme?

Amongst The Bluebells | Our Last Outing As A Family Of Three ♥

Family time is something that is incredibly precious to us. Jacek works most days and long hours at that, so it's usually just Tyler Lee and I alone. When we do get to spend a full day together, a day when we're not catching up on chores, shopping and other bits and bobs, but a day where we get to go outside and explore new or much loved places, it makes us all so incredibly happy, especially Tyler Lee who tells us - "lovely day, mummy, daddy, Tyler..." Hearing those words just fill Jacek and I with joy.

Monday was a bank holiday here in Ireland and Jacek had the day off - it's not often he gets a bank holiday off so we knew we had to make the most of the day. It was also a beautifully sunny day and as baby number two shall be making their appearance into our lives (hopefully!) very soon, we wanted to spend one last day outdoors as a family of three, exploring somewhere new, somewhere that Jacek and I had both wanted to photograph.

We believe that this lovely day out we all had together on Monday shall be our last as a family of three - whether that's wishful thinking or not I don't know, but I'm so glad we captured some beautiful pictures to remember the day. I have to give Jacek credit for the photos in this post, by the time we got to the bluebell woods I wasn't even fit to hold the camera, I just wanted to sit down!

The woods we walked to were Ballyannan Woods, which are along the Owenacurra Estuary in Co. Cork. When we parked the car up I didn't think we'd have to walk too long to get to the woods - how wrong I was. It was 3k there and back, not counting the walk around the woods and let me tell you, at nine months pregnant and in a lot of pain I was ready to cry getting back to the car.

The woods are absolutely stunning though, a carpet of beautiful bluebells covers the wood floor and it's unbelievably pretty to look at. We told Tyler Lee that the bluebell flowers were fairy dresses and he went off in search of the fairies - I love the sense of surprise and wonder in his face in the first image, I wonder if he thinks he was seeing something magical?

I'd love to return to the woods again once baby arrives, hopefully the beautiful bluebells will still be in bloom and I'd be able to photograph them myself this time. I do love the images Jacek captured though, the natural bokeh in the bluebell shots is just beautiful and I'm so glad he was able to capture some pictures of Tyler Lee and I together too because shots of us together are a rarity!

If this day does indeed turn out to be our last outing as a family of three then I'll be delighted that it was such a good one (even if the trek did break me!). A stunning location, sunny skies, a happy child and my boys beside me - what more could I ask for?
