January | Black & White Photo Challenge (Week 1) ♥

The first week of my black and white photo challenge for January has come to an end. This is such a fun project for me. I love converting my images to black and white when editing, it gives a different air to the captures and I love how peaceful everything looks in black and white.

These pictures were captured on my Nikon D3200 in natural light and on my Samsung Galaxy A4 in natural light also. Sadly, as the light isn't the best here in Ireland during January and I'm battling with light, a couple of the images came out grainy but I guess that gives them character, nothing is perfect after all.

My favourite image from the week is from day 5 - the clouds and my sons pose have a 60s vibe for me and I just love it.

I'm already looking forward to the next seven days and am already dreaming of what scenes and emotions I can capture on camera.

Daydream believer...

Oh snap!

 Curls for days...

Teepee time, bunnies are mandatory of course.

Everything is a phone to this boy.

 Playing with sunlight.

 Smiley, happy people.

  2. Oh this is such a great idea. I'm trying to work out what to do photography/photo wise on the blog and I do think black and white would be a great idea.

  4. What lovely photos, I don't shoot much in black and white and you are inspiring me to give it a try. I too really like the one with the cloud Pjs (they are fab!). x

  6. Oh Fi, these photos are just gorgeous! He is such a little darling, I love his hair - I fear I have to trim Pickles now that he has started school. The light here hasn't been great either. I do love B&W photos. Kaz x
