Winter Essentials For Toddlers ♥

When it comes to winter it's so important for me to make sure that my son is warm, cosy and most importantly comfortable. The colder weather means that his wardrobe gets an update, his bedding must change to something warmer and with a higher tog value and his footwear must go from adorable little t-bar shoes and runners to something a lot warmer and waterproof. Recently Tyler Lee has gotten lots of new things to keep him warm and stylish this winter and I can't help but share these winter essentials for toddlers with you all because they're super cute!

Bedding - Slumbersac | Sleeping Bag With Stars - Now I don't know about you, but my rascal of a toddler would not stay in a sleeping bag once he reached the age of two, no matter what I did to try and keep him in it during the night. I really don't think that he liked having his feet 'inside a bag', if you get me, instead he prefers to have his feet separate and this gorgeous star print sleeping bag from Slumbersac was just the ticket for solving our bedtime problems with him. I always worried about him becoming cold during the night, especially with the winter well and truly here but now that he's taken to this sleeping bag I no longer have to worry, he's warm and toasty throughout the night as this is a 3.5 tog, just perfect for the winter nights. It has a front zip which makes getting a wiggling toddler into it super easy and the blue shade with the gorgeous star print is adorable. We got this sleeping bag in size 3-4 and it's perfect for him, it's also big enough to do him for next winter too, something which I'm very glad of because it's great when you can find toddler items that offer some longevity. The Slumbersac Sleeping Bag With Stars* is €31.99 and is available from the Slumbersac website.

Wellies - Joules | Stripey Wellies -  One thing that my boy really needed for this winter was a new pair of wellies. He had a gorgeous pair of London print wellies, featured here, but they're sadly now too small and once again I turned to Joules for a new pair - their fun prints and great quality being something that always draws me back to their website. Their range of boys wellies* are fun and perfect for keeping enthusiastic puddle jumpers feet dry on the wet and rainy days. I can no longer find these gorgeous stripey wellies on the Joules website but they have lots of great printed wellies to choose from for boys, all from £24.99.

Warm Clothes - Joules | Babychris Top & Trouser Set - My boy needed a lot of new clothes for this season, he's growing like wildfire and after getting so tall so his tops and trousers were all getting too short. I got this gorgeous Babychris Top & Trouser Set* for him from Joules and the prints are just gorgeous. The set is made from jersey meaning they are super warm too and so comfy for playing throughout the day. I really love the sweatshirt, grey being one of my favourite colours to dress my boy in and the 'I still live with my parents' motif is quite fun. Joules have some gorgeous, warm clothes for this season in their baby section (which goes up to age 2-3), perfect for keeping little ones stylish and toasty on these cold winter days. This set is £29.95 and is available from the Joules website.

Onesies - Penneys/Primark - It's really important for me that my son is warm during the winter months and not just during the night but in the mornings when he wakes up too - the wooden floors in the downstairs of our house can be quite cold in the mornings. He's not very good at keeping his slippers on, instead preferring to always take them off, so I looked for another solution and came across these fab fleecy onesies which are available in Penneys or Primark if you're in Europe. They come in a variety of colours and styles and they have versions for boys and girls so that everyone can be super snug and warm. These were €6 each.

Boots - Cloggs | UGG Boots - Toddler's feet can get very cold during the winter months, meaning that they need footwear that will keep their feet and toes warm and cosy throughout the day. I've made no secret of my love for UGG Boots, my son loves them too and these UGG® Australia Infant Classic Chocolate* boots are just perfect for little feet on these cold winter days. These boots are from Cloggs, who have a wide range of UGG Boots for kids and adults alike. I really love the chocolate colour of these UGG Boots, they'll go with so many of my sons clothes this season and the fluffy insides in them mean that his feet will always be warm and snug whilst he's wearing them. The fact that they're ankle length means that they can be worn will all types of bottoms. The reason I love UGG Boots for kids is that not only are they stylish but they're so comfy for their little feet too. These UGGs are £80 and are available from the Cloggs website.

Hat - Penneys/Primark - A hat is a real essential for a toddler in the winter and I'm lucky in the fact that my son loves hats, he's sees them as a fashion statement rather than a practical thing and that suits me fine. He's got lots of gorgeous hats, my favourite being his crocheted bunny hat which I got from Etsy, but when I spotted a dog style hat with floppy ears whilst shopping in Penneys, I just had to pick it up for him, it's adorable and will keep his head warm on these cold winter days.

Skincare - Weleda | Marshmallow Face Cream - Toddlers skin can get quite dry during the winter, especially on their faces and one of my favourite skincare products to use on my sons face is the Weleda Marshmallow Face Cream which is fast acting at clearing up any try patches and it leaves his skin feeling very soft and smooth too. I couldn't recommend this product enough as part of a toddlers skincare regime and the great thing is that it lasts for ages too. This can be found in all good chemists and Boots stores nationwide.
