The bunting I would totally have for my own hen do, sourced from here.
One of the most exciting parts of getting married is planning your hen and stag do. It’s the last night that you get to spend with all your girlfriends or guy friends as a “singleton”, so to speak, so you may as well enjoy it to the full! There are so many different ideas, locations and activities for hen and stag do's that it’s hard to keep up with what’s trendy, but ultimately, you should choose a place or activity which you love, have always wanted to visit or that has a special meaning to you. Below I'm sharing some destination inspiration for how to spend your last night of freedom...
If partying wearing L plates and blow up obscenities isn’t your thing - I know it definitely isn't mine, how about heading to a log cabin in the lakes with all your best friends? Log cabins are amazing and come complete with outdoor hot tubs and tons of mod cons. A weekend away with all your favourite people and a lot of alcohol, if you drink of course, will be tons and fun and in the lakes there’s plenty of outdoor activities to do too. You could go walking, cycling, do some rowing or even hire a speed boat if you want to get out and explore the great outdoors.
If you’re a party enthusiast there’s only one place to go for your Hen/Stag Do - Newcastle! Famed for its raucous nightlife and lively party scene Newcastle is a haven for hen/stag parties. Make the most of your time there and book a special weekend of activities from The Stag and Hen Experience where you can enjoy activities like river cruising, cocktail making, golfing, paint-balling and archery by day, then dance the night away on a toon bar crawl.
If you fancy getting really dressed up and having a few bets for yourself, (maybe lady luck will be with you for your special day!) then why not head to the races for a day out? Whether it’s Ascot, York or New Market there are race days on in all the summer months and it makes a great day out. Most race courses offer special stag and hen packages so depending on your budget you might even be able to treat yourselves to an executive box.
If you love music why not go to UK music festival to celebrate getting married? Mainly throughout the summer months the UK hosts some of the best music festivals in the world and what better way to have a good time than watching a band you love surrounded by your favourite people? If porta-loos and a fear of not being able to get a shower is all that’s putting you off, most festivals have VIP camping options where you can have all the extra luxuries, so you can enjoy the festival experience but still have some comforts of home.
These are just some of the great destinations available for hen and stag do's in the UK, the log cabin or music festival would be my top choices out of this bunch. Where would be your ideal place for your hen or stag do?
