I'm an absolute sucker for lip products, I'm always buying new lipsticks but usually when it comes to glosses I shy away - too many wind, gloss and hair mishaps for my liking - but when I got the chance to try out the NYX Butter Glosses with the promise that they wouldn't be gloopy, sticky or horrible to wear on my lips then I just had to give them a whirl.
I have three of the NYX Butter Glosses - Peach Cobbler, Cherry Pie and Eclair*, an orange, red and pink gloss so I was delighted to be able to try three of the colours from the range. These glosses are really moisturising on the lips and I've been wearing Eclair daily, I just love the pink shade of it, it's so pretty! Peach Cobbler is a gorgeous shade for summer, I really love wearing orange on my lips so this is a shade I'll be rocking when the summer arrives. Cherry Pie is a stunning cherry red shade (as you probably guessed from the name!) and it actually reminds me of a Little Red Riding Hood Red, it's gorgeous.
The shine of the butter glosses is great, I found it so hard to capture the true shine of these on camera but they really do have a fab gloss to them. Now I'm not going to lie, the butter glosses do have a slight stickiness to them but nowhere near as bad as glosses I have tried in the past which felt horrible to wear and which almost stuck my lips together, I actually forget that I'm wearing the butter glosses as they feel so light and natural on the lips.
I love how moisturising the butter glosses are, they don't dry out my lips at all and the formula of them is great, really easy to apply, bar Eclair which just doesn't seem to want to sit on my lip line properly at all - no idea why this is because Peach Cobbler and Cherry Pie are fine.
