Purity Belle Candles ♥

I think it's quite clear, if you read my blog quite regularly, that I am a real lover of candles. I have at least one in every room of my home and like to have them burning especially of an evening. I don't just have candles burning because of their beautiful scents but I also have them on show for display purposes. I love to discover new candles and brands, especially when I'm looking for something a bit different to the usual Yankee Candles I buy, so when I was introduced to Purity Belle Candles and their gorgeous sounding candles I was delighted to be able to give them a go.

Purity Belle's candles are all made with love and care in Co. Kildare and as you all may know I love sharing anything Irish and made in Ireland with you all. Purity Belle's candles are all pure soya candles so offer a cleaner burning experience - perfect for the home, especially when my candles are being burnt around my son too. What I love about Purity Belle Candles is that the scents they offer all sound lovely. I commented to the owner, Cliona, that I thought the names of her candles conjured up lovely images in the mind about the scent.

My favourite candle name was Cotton Cloud (probably because of my cloud obsession) and I have to say, this candle and it's scent did not disappoint! It's such a clean, fresh smelling candle which I love to burn in my living room, it's perfect for airing the room out and creating a fresh, clean smelling space to relax in. The Cotton Cloud candle comes in a lovely glass jar which is lovely on display on my mantlepiece. Cotton Cloud is €18 which I think is a great price for a candle which offers 65 hours of burning time.

I also got to sample the Vintage Rose candle - another name I love. This candle comes in a little aluminum tin and the minute I opened the lid the heavenly scent of rose came floating out, I love it! I have this candle on my dressing table as I think it's the perfect romantic scent for the bedroom. It's scent of vintage rose with a hint of jasmine honeysuckle really is so beautiful. The best thing is that this candle has up to 50+ hours burning time too so I can enjoy it again and again. The Vintage Rose tin candle is €12.

Finally, I got to sample a Mini Curragh Pottery Cup Candle in White Tea and Sage scent which was so adorable and quirky to look at. These little pottery cups are specially made for Purity Belle by a local potter - I love when products I buy have a truly unique and special element to them such as this. Each little pottery cup is different and individual so you are getting something truly unique and collectable if you buy one of these candles, they are just €9 each too and you can get them filled with any scent you so choose. Mine is White Tea and Sage which is such a beautiful smelling candle. White Tea scent is one of my favourites anyway and I'm so happy to have it in candle form now too.

I really do love Purity Belle's range of candles. I like that they offer different varieties of packaging for their candles depending on what presentation you favour. Their range of scents are gorgeous and really do fill up a room. I have been left disappointed in the past by candles that claim to give long-lasting scents but don't, thankfully Purity Belle's candles do offer great, strong scents that last and freshen up the home. It's very atmospheric to have one of these gorgeous candles burning in the evening. I love Purity Belle's simple packaging and the fact that it can all be reused and recycled, that's such an important element for me when I purchase anything.

The difference with buying hand-crafted candles like Purity Belle's in favour of mass produced candle brands is that you are getting something made with love, made from pure soy, made with eco-friendly packaging and something which has a far more special feel to it. I really do love Purity Belle's candles and would highly recommend them if you're a candle lover like myself and would like to try something a little bit different than your usual candles.

You can browse and purchace the full range of Purity Belle candles on their Etsy shop.

  1. These sound gorgeous, especially the little pottery one! I'm a sucker for a good candle, at the moment the only rooms in the house that don't have candles in them are Caelen's room and the playroom. I tend to go for Yankee Candles most of all, as I find them better value for money with their burning times, but I'll have to remember to check these out when I'm replacing them next time!
