EcoTools Fresh & Flawless Five Piece Complexion Set | Review ♥

I've been using EcoTools makeup brushes for the longest time now and I've never had a problem with them. As of late I got it into my mind that I needed more makeup brushes when my blusher brush went missing (it's probably buried in one of my makeup boxes if I'm honest!) and this was an excuse to go and buy the EcoTools Fresh & Flawless Five Piece Complexion Set, a set which I've wanted for ages now.

This five set of brushes are so pretty with their multi-coloured printed metal designs below the brush head. They are incredibly soft and there has been no fallout from the brushes at all - a big plus! The brushes come in a little open up box with individual casings for the brushes on one side and a list of the brush names and what they're used for on the other. This case is really nice for storing the brushes after use and keeping them safe (unlike my missing blusher brush!). One thing I was surprised by with the brushes is just how small they are. The handles are quite short, much shorter than my other EcoTools brushes but in my opinion that makes them far better for popping in a makeup bag when out and about or travelling.

The brushes included are a flat concealer brush, buffing concealer brush, precision foundation brush, complexion blending brush and full powder brush so this set really has everything you need to complete the perfect concealer and foundation base. Used together these brushes can help to create smooth airbrush-look finish to your makeup - how fab is that?! I highly recommend these brushes to anyone who wants a good, sturdy, core collection of complexion brushes and whilst I would prefer a longer handle on the brushes I think the smaller size is great for being able to do finer detailing perfectly, like covering those dark circles under my eyes with concealer.

The EcoTools Fresh & Flawless Five Piece Complexion Set is just €15.49 which I think is a great prize for five, fab quality makeup brushes, although I got mine with my Boots points so I'm even more delighted with my brushes due to the fact that they were kinda free! Yay!

Have you ever used EcoTools makeup brushes? Are you a fan?

  1. It is great that the brush handles are smaller so they are easier to tote around. I have never used makeup brushes at all, if I"m honest!

  4. I love the handles on those brushes! They're so pretty! I really need to get new makeup brushes. You're supposed to replace them, what, every three months? Six months? I haven't replaced mine in years. Oops. I really love that the Ecotools come with a guide, too. I have brushes that I don't really know what they're used for.

    1. Nikki- I would have no idea about how often to replace brushes. I don't own any makeup brushes at all, but have friends that use them a lot. I know that they are supposed to be super good for applying makeup, but I've always felt so intimidated by them and only really use foundation which comes with an applicator pad.

    1. The price really is fantastic - I have brushes that I've paid an astronomical amount for [with no idea why they were expensive, I should add] and they were nowhere near as pretty. These brushes are just so unique. I've put them on my birthday list in hope as my boys destroyed my expensive ones - apparently they look like nice paintbrushes!

  11. I always knew that I had no clue what I was doing with makeup! I use the same brush for pretty much everything, and I usually just throw out a brush instead of washing it (usually because it's a cheap one!). I really need a nice set of brushes, and these are gorgeous!

  15. Though I'm not a makeup enthusiast I do like to buy cheap but quality products. You've definitely sold me. One thing that I do need to add to my collection is makeup brushes. These are not just "eco" but affordable and clearly quality. Thanks for the review and suggestion! http://nomoneywilltravel.com

  22. I have spent so much money trying to find makeup brushes that really work! I've always been disappointed, but I have yet to try these. They are so beautiful with the color and the detailing on the handles. I also have a bad habit of forgetting to clean my brushes so I need to remember to do that if I invest in a new set!
