Tinggly - The Essential Gift Collection ♥

I've expressed on the blog before how hard it is for me to choose a gift for my fiance when it comes to his birthday or Christmas, he literally is the man who has everything which makes it impossible to find a unique gift which he will both love and enjoy using. For his Christmas gift this year I went in search of something different, something exciting for him and which would give him memories to last a lifetime, this is where Tinggly came in. Tinggly allows you as the gift giver or the gift recipient, if you'd prefer them to choose for themselves, to choose an experience from lots of locations worldwide and from the date they pick their chosen experience they will have two years to redeem it. It's amazing isn't it?! Before I gifted Jacek with his own choice of experience I gave him a look at the website to see what he thought of the whole idea and he thought it was amazing that someone could choose an experience from wherever they wanted in the world, some of them being what we would consider once in a lifetime experiences.

Tinggly currently has experiences available in the following locations and as you can see they span the whole world. There are currently over 100 experiences available and they range from the leisurely chocolate workshops and tasting in Belgium to the more extreme shark diving with great white sharks in South Africa - so as you can see there really is something for everyone! The experience which Jacek seemed to be most interested in when I showed him the website was the Kyoto tour with the last Samurai for two, he loves Japanese culture so getting to tour Kyoto with the last Samurai really would be a once in a lifetime experience for him which he would remember forever.

Just to give an example of what the experiences offer, which you can see if you click on the red pins on the website, the Kyoto tour which Jacek was most interested in offers a visit to a Buddhist temple and traditional workshops to skilled Japanese craftsmen at work. A visit to the Kyoto Imperial Garden Forest where you can sip tea in a traditional tea house. Lunch is included also and afterwards the last Samurai will give a thrilling sword show which includes him slicing apples in mid-air! As you can tell this experience would be amazing for someone who loves Japanese culture like Jacek.

I think choosing an experience in a country you've always wanted to visit gives you the incentive to actually make plans to visit that country and the great thing is you have two years to redeem your gift which gives you plenty of time to plan your trip. Alternatively, Tinggly may offer experiences in your home country which you never even thought of doing - I discovered coasteering in Ireland for two, something which is just a few miles from me but which I had never heard of before!

I really think Jacek will love this gift this Christmas, it's so unique and different from anything I've ever gotten him before. I've read that the gift of travel is the only thing you can buy which makes you richer and I think his Christmas gifts this year - all which are trips away and a Tinggly experience will bring him memories to last a lifetime and lots of adventure along the way.

All of the Tinggly The Essential Gift Collection experiences are just €100 making them the perfect affordable and memorable gift this Christmas. You can browse the full range of experiences on offer worldwide and purchase an experience for yourself or someone special on the Tinggly website. You can also follow Tinggly on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for regular updates.

  1. I feel the same difficulty when it comes to giving a present to my boyfriend and dad. They already have everything that they need. They buy everything they want almost immediately after thinking about wanting it. Where did you first know about Tinggly?

  2. I always say to my husband that I would rather have an experience and a memory than a tangible gift. I had no idea there were site like this that made it happen, though. VERY cool.

  7. Yowzers, I wouldn't call €100 an affordable present! I find it difficult to shop for men in general, as they usually buy what they want, when they want year round. When I worked, I used to surprise my husband with trips, whether it be weekend getaways locally, or a surprise flight booked somewhere. My Dad on the other hand - I'm still not sure what to get him for Christmas! Right now all I have is a box of brandy chocolates from Trader Joe's lol.

  15. I think Tinggly sounds like a lot of fun, and offers a wide range of activities for people. I like that the gift recipient has 2 years to make a decision. I went to go check out the site to see what was close by to us, or available in the U.S. I do think the price is a bit much for some of the activities that I saw.

  17. I definitely love sentimental and cherishable gifts. A trip out of town or a nice dinner at an amazing restaurant would also be great gifts. Sometimes it isn't the physical product that makes someone happy, its the effort, support and dedication you give them.

  18. That is such a great way to gift. I would also rather have an experience than a physical gift that I probably won't use for long.

  20. There are things that holds a special place in my heart when it comes to gift. Sometimes, those material stuff won't be as wonderful it seems - most of the time you find yourself ignoring it too. What matters is the thought and what the gift really means to someone.
