12 Days Of Christmas Blogging Challenge Day #2 - Random Acts Of Kindness ♥

It's day two of the 12 Days Of Christmas Blogging Challenge and today's theme is random acts of kindness. I have to say I struggled to come up with an idea for this and then I thought maybe it doesn't have to be totally random, maybe an act of kindness would do so I decided to donate some of Tyler Lee's toys - even some brand new ones that he's never played with to a local charity shop for the Irish Wheelchair Association. I gathered up three bags of toys altogether and Tyler Lee and I took them to the charity shop on Friday. The old woman who was volunteering in the shop that day was so grateful for the donation and I hope that the toys will make some other children happy and raise some money for the Irish Wheelchair Association too.

A lovely fellow blogger of mine Sharon from Behind Green Eyes commented on my blogging challenge post yesterday saying her favourite random act of kindness was leaving an unscratched scratch card in a library book and I thought this was such a great idea so I've taken it but changed it a bit as I wanted to do the RAOK for my fiance as he's had a stressful time of it lately, but the only books his has a library books from college. I've hidden one in his bedside table drawer and one rolled up in a pair of his socks, I included a little quote about luck with each scratch card, I hope they'll bring him so inspiration and luck. I hope he'll be both surprised and lucky when he finds them both and that they bring a smile to his face.

I really enjoyed doing my random acts of kindness efforts and I hope I've helped some people and made them happy in the process. Tomorrow's theme for the 12 Days Of Christmas Blogging Challenge is Christmas memories so I think I'll have to dig out the old Christmas photos!

You can read my post for day #1 of the challenge here.

What is your favourite random act of kindness?

  5. My 2014 resolution was to do a RAOK everyday + I'm pleased + proud to say it's one of the few resolutions I've ever kept. It isn't as difficult as you might think and it's the little things that count
