It's no secret that I love candles, I always have done. They've always been a staple item in my bedroom since I was a teenager and ever since I moved out of home they've been dotted around my house, gracing every room not just for decoration but also for fragrance purposes. My favourite candle brand by far is Yankee Candle, I'm sure I'm not alone in my addiction to their gorgeous smelling candles. I love the look of the candles in their glass jars, the range of colours and scents they're available in and how long lasting they are, the scents linger in the room long after being burnt. These candles can be on the pricey side but I think the burning time far outweigh the price.
These are the newest editions to my collection and they're all quite festive. Snowflake Cookie and Cranberry Ice are fragrances of the month for November so they're highly discounted at the moment. I kind of wish I had gotten the bigger jars in these as I've burned my way through quite a lot of them already. Snowflake Cookie is super sweet smelling and I wasn't sure if I was actually going to like it but it is lovely and does smell like freshly baked cookies with icing. Cranberry Ice has a gorgeous Winter Garden is a new fragrance and it has the slight smell of Christmas with hints of cinnamon but it also quite fresh smelling like a garden after it rains, I love it. I couldn't resist picking up more wax tart melts as they last for ages. Icicles has a similar scent to Winter Garden and I actually want to get this scent in a big candle. Angels Wings is quite a soft, fresh smell and I actually only got it for the name - I have a bit of an angel obsession.
Halloween week my lovely fiance surprised me with five new Yankee Candles to add to my collection, one large jar candle and four votive ones, I was so surprised and delighted by my gifts as you can imagine! The large jar candle is Happy Halloween, a limited edition black candle which smells like liquorice. Now I can't say I'm a fan of the taste or smell of liquorice but I'm getting a chocolatey scent from this candle too so it's all good. I love having seasonal candles around my home so this was perfect for burning on Halloween week. The votive candles I was given were Amber Moon - another Halloween candle, Red Velvet, Red Apple Wreath and Cranberry Wreath. All of these votive candles smell beautiful and I usually save burning my votive candles for dinner times or when I'm relaxing in the evening.

My six votive candles - Red Apple Wreath, Red Velvet, Amber Moon, Cranberry Pear, Vanilla Lime and Pink Dragon Fruit.
As you can probably tell I have a particular penchant for the wax tart melts, they last forever and are so cheap at just €1.50 each so it's very easy to get carried away with buying them all when I go to the candle store.
My seventeen wax tart melts are - Loves Me, Loves Me Not, Fluffy Towels, Soft Blanket, Christmas Memories, Champaca Blossom, Christmas Eve, Beach Flowers, Snow In Love, A Child's Wish, Pink Hibiscus, Lovely Kiku, Baby Powder, Lemon Lavender, Icicles, Angels Wings and French Lavender.
I store my wax tart melts in a candy jar and my old Snow In Love jar which I sadly burnt up at the beginning of the year. I have one for spring/summer scents and one for autumn/winter/festive scents. These jars smell amazing when opened from all the different scents in them. I'm in need of a new jar as I have two tarts without a home but luckily I recently burnt up my Christmas Eve candle so I just need to clear that out to make room for them.
This is my entire collection at the moment, I also have Christmas Wreath in a large jar candle which was super discounted in Home Store + More last Christmas. It smells like a walk in the woods after it's been raining, I love it. I would love some more glass jar candles and have my eye on Candy Cane Lane, Icicles and some other names from the Christmas collection. I also saw that there's a green Yankee Candle called Luck o' the Irish which I would love to have. I've heard it's super hard to get a hold of though, shame.
Do you have a candle obsession like I do? Are you a fan of the Yankee Candle brand?

ReplyDeleteI'm a Yankee candle junkie, I would have the all if I could, but they're pretty expensive and I can only order them online I have to settle with some tarts. Also, I;ve discovered recently some candle that are quite as good as Yankee, but a bit cheaper, Village Candles
ReplyDeleteI think I would LOVE the Happy Halloween one, I love the smell and taste of licorice, I have never seen that in a candle!
ReplyDeleteWow, you have a lot! I love their candles too.
ReplyDeleteOooh, so many candles and they're all very pretty! My Mom would love them, for sure. They always make great decors at home.
ReplyDeleteI'm SO picky with candles, that I have only had 3 in my entire life - and I still have them all hahahaha. Right now I'm loving this "peony" one I bought from World Market a few months ago, it smells amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love your collection! I've used the wax melts before. I'm not sure where I stored mine, but I should get them out for Christmas!

ReplyDeleteI love Yankee candles. They are classic for a good smell in your home. I love to draw a warm bath and light a few. Very relaxing.
ReplyDeleteLove those Yankee canldes. They are a bit on the expensive side so I don't buy them often but love their scents! My best friend is in love with Yankee. Her collection probably looks the same! lol
ReplyDeleteI will take ALL of those please!!! I LOVE Yankee Candles! I really don't care about the price. I love how well made they are and like you said, the burning time outweighs the price. You're wasting more money buying cheap candles that don't smell as yummy and burn quickly/unevenly. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I want all of these candles! I'm going to the mall today and am going to have to grab a few!
ReplyDeleteI prefer when they are made from soy or have the no burning smell. Great post, so pretty!

ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE candles, but now that I have a cat, I feel like I can't burn them nearly enough. :( What do you use the wax tarts for?
ReplyDeleteYou have an unbelievable candle collection! I bet it smells fabulous at your house everyday and every season/Holiday! <3
ReplyDeleteWe don't have much access to Yankee Candles up here in Canada, so my go-to is usually Bath and Bodyworks. Maybe I'll have to hop over the border and try these babies out!
ReplyDelete:)
