Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn ♥

Summer 2014 has been good to us. We've been lucky enough to spend quite a lot of time together as a family and that's something I really do relish as Jacek goes back to working a lot and also attending night college once September comes. It's been fantastic to have adventures with our little, active toddler Tyler Lee who has ran around every place we've taken him, I think he's in training for a future Olympics. It was fabulous to be so near the sea and get to go swimming in the warm water, I forgot how much I loved it. Our boy discovered sand for the first time, the magic of the waves, he had his first swimming session in the pool, he went for walks in the woods, got lost in tall grass in the fields, hid amongst the buttercups, ran around an orchard, visited two castles, turned 16, 17 and 18 months old, learned how much he really does love kisses and cuddles and had lots of giggles and smiles.

We were lucky enough to get to visit with my father in June, it was fantastic for Tyler Lee to see one of his grandfathers again, having last seen him when he was just two months old. Jacek and I were lucky enough to see the Prodigy at Live at the Marquee in July, my second time seeing them live and the atmosphere was electric. We were also lucky enough to have our first family holiday abroad to the Algarve, a holiday I will never forget as it was Tyler Lee's first holiday with just his daddy and I, our time spent there will stay with me forever.
I'm so glad to have captured our memories on camera and have all these wonderful images for Tyler Lee to look back on when he's older so he can see just how much fun he was having in a time he will never remember, a time which his Daddy and I can never forget as these are his most precious years, old enough to have his independence but small enough to still appreciate a kiss, cuddle and all the love us, his parents, can give him.

Thanks for the memories summer 2014, now goodbye summer, hello autumn... ♥

  1. That was such a moving post, Fiona. Makes me feel quite nostalgic.

    1. Oh I'm so glad you liked it, it wasn't even my intention for it to be moving :)

  2. We've had a lovely Summer too, it's hard to remember what we used to get up to before our little boys came along isn't it! x

    1. It really is! I probably wouldn't have done even half of these wonderful things, he spurs me on to seek and discover :)

  3. You had a great summer, hopefully autumn willl be even better. Personally, I like autumn and winter more. The heat just isnt't for me. Maybe because I was born in winter.
