The Cork Meetup event took place on Saturday and I wanted something really special to wear, something that would stand out and not be something I would usually go for so when I asked to take part in a World Fashion challenge by JD Williams to choose an outfit inspired by a country which is taking part in the big football tournament that everyone is going crazy for at the moment I jumped at the chance. Browsing through the JD Williams website I spotted so many things which really suited my tastes but I tried to step out of my comfort zone and go for something I wouldn't normally choose. The country I chose to take my inspiration from was Brazil, the hosts of course and when I spotted the Joe Browns Days Gone By Dress I thought it represented the colours of a Brazilian carnival with all it's colour splashes. This dress sums up the spirit of Brazil for me, it's vivid, bright, colourful and exciting, all words I would associate with Brazil.
The fabric of this dress is gorgeous, it has a real luxurious feel to it. I love the shape of the dress, it's very 1950's inspired and is quite flattering I think. The colours on this dress are amazing, so eye-catching and vibrant. I never thought I'd see myself in a green based dress with lots of colour splash but I love it. I teamed my gorgeous Brazilian inspired dress with some bow adorned pumps as I was going to be on my feet all day, electric blue shimmery nail varnish and some lose curls. I could see myself sipping cocktails on Copacabana Beach in this outfit for sure.
The Joe Browns Days Gone By Dress is £45 and is available in size 14 to 32. You can browse this dress and others in the JD Williams range on the JD Williams website.
