Tyler Lee's Easter Basket ♥

As it's now Easter week I think it's the perfect time to show you all the Easter basket I've just finished putting together for my boy. For the two special religious occasions we celebrate in my family, Christmas and Easter, I like to make Tyler Lee up a little basket full of festive themed goodies to enjoy and learn more about the event which is taking place. You can see the Christmas Eve basket I gave him last Christmas Eve here. With Tyler Lee being part Polish Easter is a special time to decorate eggs, place them in a basket and bring them to the church to be blessed, however, as he's not able to decorate the eggs yet we'll save that for next year when he can have some fun painting the eggs with his daddy. We decided to make him up a little basket full of goodies to feast on, play with and learn all about what Easter is about. Tyler Lee's basket contains some white chocolate treats but we also picked up some non-food Easter related items which he can have fun with long after the chocolate is gone. Included in his Easter basket are -

A big blue bunny - we picked this up from a discount store, this will be his Easter bunny!
Guess How Much I Love You: Here, There and Everywhere by Sam McBratney - It's my mission to get Tyler Lee every Guess How Much I Love You Book, he's got five hares for his storytime so it's only right to collect all of these adorable books.
Mallow Easter character lollies - I thought these were quite cute and will be a little treat for him.
Mallow bunny and chick faces - These are for sharing with his older cousins at our Easter Egg hunt.
Capsule eggs - great for putting little treats in during the Easter egg hunt. I've not put anything in them yet as I don't want anything to melt!
Chick soft toy - Tyler Lee actually got this last Easter off his godmother but hasn't seen it since as it was in his toy bag so I thought it would be a great addition to this years basket.
Lamb soft toy - This came with the mini Kinder bars so I just took them out of their box to make the basket look a bit nicer.
Mini Kinder bars - these are for his very rare treat times, they may last the year!
Easter themed legwarmers - Tyler Lee loves potting around the house in legwarmers so I thought these Easter themed ones were super cute for him.
Personalised melamine plate - We were sent this gorgeous personalised plate as a gift for Tyler Lee from Studio Kids Design. I thought it was perfect for his Easter basket as it has a bunny on it.
The Best Bunny Book Ever by Richard Scarry - This is another cute Easter themed book with it being about bunnies and it has three books in one so it was great value.
Milkybar egg and cow - Everyone needs a bit of chocolate at Easter time including my boy who will no doubt be sharing these with his daddy and I.

I finished the hamper off with a pale blue and white polka-dot ribbon which I think is quite sweet. These baskets are so fun to put together and relatively inexpensive depending what you put in them. I'd actually love a basket like this myself!

Did you put together an Easter basket for your little one? I would love to see your links in the comments.

  1. I think this is beautiful and great for a little one but I'm beginning to think that every occasion now requires us to give gifts. Every year I see something different come out for Easter, I miss just the choc eggs and a Sunday dinner.

    1. Ah we still have the Sunday dinner, don't know about the eggs this year though :) I think gifting children is suitable as they're only young once and if they can't be spoiled now and again when can they be? My boy only gets gifts for Christmas, his birthday and now Easter. I'd rather he had some nice books, teddies and some legwarmers rather than 12 chocolate eggs :)

    1. Thank you Sharon. Gift giving little ones if the best, it's completely selfless as you expect nothing back and seeing their little faces light up at the surprise of it all is the best thing ever :)
