I love baking on Saturday mornings, it makes me feel like I've accomplished so much even though the day has just begun and then my family and I have something yummy to graze on throughout the weekend. Last weekend I decided to give my new piping bag and nozzles a workout so I made my favourite, red velvet cupcakes and then decided to do a mixture of vanilla and chocolate fudge icing, something which I had seen done in rainbow form on a friends Facebook page and absolutely loved. This technique is really simple to do, I just simply put a scoop of vanilla icing into my piping bag followed by a scoop of chocolate fudge icing and the effect it created was amazing looking. I could clearly see the white/brown contrast in the first few cupcakes and then it turned into caramel coloured swirls, so classic and delicious looking. I then finished with gold and silver ball sprinkles along with some white and milk chocolate stars. These beauties were absolutely delicious!
