Chanel - Joues Contraste Powder Blush Shade 15. Orchid Rose ♥

I wanted to show you all a blush which I have been using a lot of lately, it's made it's way into my everyday makeup bag and has replaced my trusty MAC 'Gentle', for now, this is Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Shade 15. 'Orchid Rose'. This blush is probably the most expensive blush I own so I thought it was high time to give it some proper usage. This blush comes in a classic Chanel compact, simple black with the white Chanel logo, it contains a mirror and a small blush brush which I don't use as I prefer my EcoTools blusher brush for application. The name of this blush is quite puzzling to me because to me there is nothing remotely rose like about the colour even though Chanel describe it as being a 'rosey beige'. The blush has an orange/coral tone to it with undertones of browns and peaches whilst also containing little flecks of multi-colour shimmer. It is quite a pretty colour and can be built up to create a more dramatic, contoured cheekbone. This blush is extremely powdery and has quite a lot of fallout even when just swatching with my finger but it's texture is super silky on the skin so this can be forgiven. The colour of this blush gives a gorgeous etheral glow to the face, the shade is so flattering, this blush really is something quite special. One aspect I love to this blush is the powdery rose scent it has, it reminds me of old fashioned classic cosmetics, it really is such a lovely thing. I now wear this blush everyday and I think the colour is perfect for the spring/summer season.
