What I Got For Christmas ♥

This Christmas I was one lucky duck receiving a whole array of goodies which left me feeling well and truly spoilt. My fiance was more than generous to me and picked me up some of my favourite things - Soap and Glory makeup sets and a bath and body set, nail polishes, Yankee candles and oil burners, an Urban Decay customisable palette with three eye shadows, a gift voucher to Brown Thomas and lots of chocolate! My mother got me two more gorgeous charms for my Pandora bracelet which is now two thirds full, new pyjamas and slippers and my brother also gave me a gift voucher to Brown Thomas, the MAC store was calling me! On St. Stephen's Day morning my fiance and I braved the sales and I picked up a new MAC blush and six gorgeous lipsticks from my vouchers. My fiance also got me my long coveted The Sparkler from The Body Shop and as these were half price he got me two for the price of one! I was delighted with everything I received and have been using them all in turn, I feel well and truly beautified and pampered this festive season!

Red Velvet & Triple Chocolate Chunk Christmas Cupcakes ♥

This is the final instalment in my Christmas baking series and today I'm showing off my Red Velvet Cupcakes with vanilla icing and Triple Chocolate Chunk cupcakes with chocolate fudge icing. I decorated these seriously delicious cupcakes with the same Christmas themed sprinkles I used on my Christmas Devil's Food Cake With A Twist and I love how they turned out. The red sprinkles with the silver ball sprinkles give a wonderful twinkling effect in the light and each cupcake is ornate with a sugared festive symbol, my favourite being the Christmas tree. I also decorated the chocolate fudge icing with silver spray which gave it a gorgeous shimmering effect. These smell and look delicious and I can't wait to share them out with my family tomorrow on Christmas Eve.
This will be the last post from me until Christmas is over as I'm taking a break from the internet and spend some much need quality with my family, fiance and my baby boy to celebrate his first ever Christmas so I want to wish all of you, my lovely blog readers and followers a very Merry Christmas, enjoy it, have fun and make wonderful memories with all those you love.

May your days be merry and bright and may all your Christmases be white.

Festive Decor ♥

It's Christmas week! Can you believe that this time of year is upon us, it seems the year has just flown by and here we are in my favourite time of the year. I love the cosiness Christmas decor brings to a home - the twinkling lights, sweet little ornaments, candles lighting and beautifully decorated trees, to me it's simply perfect. I wanted to give you all a glimpse of my Christmas decor. There are four Christmas trees in the house this year and each one is as beautiful as the next. As you can see each room has a different colour scheme. The kitchen is decorated with gold pieces including star lights, a berry wreath, decorations over the hearth and on the little tree, one living room is decorated with black and gold decorations, another living room has wine and gold decorations and of course, this year we have Tyler Lee's special blue and silver decorated tree for his first Christmas. I hope you like my many pictures of my festive decor!

If you're celebrating I hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas!

A Christmas Gift To Myself From LUSH ♥

I began my Christmas shopping in October and since then I've been busy sourcing, buying and wrapping the perfect gifts for my loved ones, it's least to say I'm quite exhausted from my numerous trips to the city every weekend, battling my way through the crowds in order to pick up my presents. I'm in need of some pampering and relaxation so on my last shopping trip in the city I just couldn't walk past LUSH without going in and getting myself something nice. I went in with the sole intention of getting one product, Magic Wand, a reusable bubble bar with the delightful scent of LUSH's festive Snow Fairy range, but of course I can't go anywhere and just pick one thing up, I always seem to add to my shopping list, seriously people I need to be stopped, I'm one of those impulse buy people. I also picked up Star Light, Star Bright, a gorgeous looking silver star bath melt which just spreads it's silver glittering lustre all over the skin. The scent of lime off this really enticed me so I just had to have it. Finally I picked up Snow Fairy, a little massage bar with a shimmering, glittery centre, when is the perfect time to be ornate with glitter if not Christmas time? I decided to get these gorgeous products knot wrapped in pink and white Climate Revolution scarf designed by Vivienne Westwood, this being a little Christmas treat to myself I just had to get it knot wrapped, right? I had great fun unwrapping this earlier and giving the products a sniff, they are heavenly! I can't wait to use these and relax this week and just give myself a serious, lush pampering.

Eye Makeup of the Night - Silver Seduction ♥

I've been playing around with different makeup looks the last two weeks and really enjoying it, this is how I began blogging, I began experimenting with different makeup looks and decided to blog about them all so I guess you can say that I'm going back to my roots. I went out last night to do the 12 Pubs of Christmas and for the occasion I got a new eye shadow out of my Boots points, Bourjois Little Round Pot Eye Shadow in shade 25, a stunning sparkling silver colour which I thought would be perfect for the festive season, the swatch was so pretty that I really couldn't resist it, I have my eye on the gold shade next although I really don't need another eye shadow in my collection, it's a case of too many eye shadows and not enough eyes! I loved the finished result of my eye makeup for my night out and even though this shadow didn't photography as silver I promise you that it is. I may do a tutorial on this eye look as requested by a reader of mine so stay tuned!

Eye Of Horus - Goddess Smokey Eye Pencil ♥

I recently got my hands on Australian brand Eye Of Horus Goddess Smokey Eye Pencil, a black kohl eye pencil which is a joy to use and gives a dramatic look to any eye makeup. Firstly, I love the packaging of Eye Of Horus products, classic black with Egyptian elements, it has quite a luxurious feel to it, in fact, the makeup is based on ancient Egyptian formulas and ingredients, pretty cool right?! This eye pencil is so easy to apply, it literally glides onto the eye area, not pulling on the eyelid and creates clean lines, perfect for someone like me who has shaky hands which equal to lots of dreaded eyeliner mistakes! This eye pencil is long lasting, waterproof and has a lovely smooth application. This is the perfect eye pencil to create a dramatic smokey eye look, the colour is an intense black and really accentuates the eyes. The pencil also has another end which has a sponge tip, perfect for blending the eye pencil or smudging it to create whatever your desired look may be. I went for a smokey eye look and framed my eye with the Goddess Smokey Eye Pencil, you can see in the pictures how clean and smooth the line is on my eyelid, this never happens to me, I always make a mistake so this just proves how easy the pencil is to use. The Goddess Smokey Eye Pencil is now a firm favourite in my everyday makeup bag and I truly am delighted with it. I'm now really intrigued to try some more products from the Eye Of Horus range.

Shadows used -
GOSH palette
MUA 'Undressed' palette
Rimmel 'Enchanted'
MAC 'Young Punk'

You can read more about the Goddess Smokey Eye Pencil and browse through other Eye Of Horus products on the Eye Of Horus website.
