Now that Autumn is well and truly here I wanted my makeup to reflect the season. I have recently dyed my hair darker than the usual bright, bleach blonde I usually sport - I actually picked out a medium brown colour but it seems that blonde never wants to leave my hair and I wanted to experiement with different colour makeup that I wouldn't normally wear with my lighter hair. I've begun using a brown eye shadow, which I think looks great with my blue eyes, it's MAC's 'Mulch', a shadow which was part of their Hello Kitty collection. It's a striking brown shade with hints of warm gold, this is an eye shadow which I may review on the blog soon as it is a perfect shade for the season. I also wanted to wear a darker colour lipstick, opting not to go for red as I don't think it suits me very well I went for MAC's 'Twig' satin finish lipstick which is a gorgeous brown shade with hints of red throughout, I wear this lipstick a lot but I do think the colour is perfect for Autumn days, it reminds me of the leaves changing colour. I used Maxfactor Lash Silks mascara to finish the eye look and it really elongates the lashes. The blush I am wearing to e.l.f. 'Pink Passion' and the foundation is La Roche-Posay Toleriane Teint Hydrating Water-Cream Foundation which gives a beautiful dewy look to the skin and is very natural looking. To finish the overall look I decided to paint my nails with NYC New York Minute nail polish in 'Madison Avenue' which is a stunning pillarbox red colour with a high gloss finish. I love this look I think it's a perfect daytime makeup look and so easy to wear, the eye makeup isn't too heavy and the lipstick shade is sophisticated yet demure, perfect!
What do you think of the overall look? What are your 'go to' makeup products this Autumn?
