MAC Lipstick - 'Twig' ♥

I recently got two MAC lipsticks from the 'Back To MAC' scheme and wanted to write about one of them which is fast becoming my favourite 'everyday' lipstick shade, that is 'Twig'.I would describe 'Twig' as being a red, brownish coloured lipstick. I had asked the woman in the MAC store for a purple hued lipstick as this was intended for my mother but she gave me 'Twig'. I must admit the shade looked a lot different under the glare of the shop lights. When I gave this to my mother she said it didn't suit her so I could hold onto it, another MAC lipstick for my collection, I think it's safe to say I have a slight addiction to them at this stage! I've been wearing this lipstick almost everyday since I acquired it and I really do love the shade. It's not a colour I would usually pick out, I'm more a pink lipstick girl but this really does make for a lovely demure lip look. I've had many people asking me what the shade I'm wearing is so I thought it might be a good idea to write about it for you, my readers just in case you had never come across the shade before, I've had a few of you thank me for bringing certain shades to your attention in the past. The best thing about this lipstick is that it is very long lasting, I can put this on in the morning and wouldn't have to reapply it until late evening. Also I think the world and her dog knows that MAC lipsticks have a hint of vanilla scent but for some strange reason this one has a hint of chocolate to me, maybe my sense of smell is a bit confused at the moment or the hint of brown is reminding me of chocolate, who knows! This is now part of my everyday makeup box and I find this rather funny as it's only by chance that I actually came across the shade. I cannot wait to get some more MAC lipsticks through the 'Back To MAC' scheme, it's great when brands and shops give you some reward for being a loyal customer.

Stay pretty people!

  1. This looks lovely but it wouldn't suit me at all, infact it'll probably wash me out! Glad you found a use for it after your mum passed it on to you x

  2. I love the color! It looks subtle but not too pale, and in between red and pink! Great find!
